Spyware for smartphones

The company “Smart PC Solutions”, a developer of simple to use options for the optimization of your PC, has become the casualty of a negative evaluation on Mcafee’s “SiteAdvisor” just like many other websites, most having no thought they have received a negative review or why. This causes direct financial losses for many businesses but in actuality it redistributes money in favor of McAfee, which sells its anti-virus options to panicked users who usually do not delve quite deeply into the details and believe the ratings that are unjustified. That is an apparent instance of unfair competition via their security applications sales promotion by ruining other businesses’ goodwill. McAfee’s “SiteAdvisor” puts a colour to each site to indicate safe, caution, or warning ratings occasionally based merely on average users’ comments (besides other things). A huge red cross (warning) unquestionably says the existence of a virus or spyware activity on the rated website. Their motto reads as follows: “Protection from Adware, Spam buyoemsoftware.biz and Viruses”. Here comes the surprise: the company “Smart PC Solutions” has nothing related to spreading viruses yet it’s received a rating of a Big Red Cross – beware of the virus menace! Most of the applications supplied on “Smart PC Solutions” is freeware utilities and sometimes users fail to attain the desired outcomes as two customers’ opinions have testified. Many the user comments on “Smart PC Solutions” is positive and appreciative.

Are you aware where McAfee placed the comments on the performance of the “Free Data Recovery” utilities? They set them in the “Bad Shopping Experience” section. Can you see any logic here? “Smart PC Solutions” furnishes Free Data Recovery applications (worth over $50.00) for FREE (as well as many other useful things)! The first question to McAfee is: “What does shopping have to do with the Free Data Recovery merchandises?” Let’s go further and raise the second question to McAfee: “What does a shopping encounter have to do with the virus warning rating?” Where did they find products containing viruses or spyware on the site? McAfee misleads or intentionally deceives individuals, by intimidating them with erroneous negative ratings that may present a case for litigation. acheter viagra Now a question to the readers: “Do you still trust this system of evaluation?” There is an interesting fact that the Siteadvisor.com site itself has a substantial variety of negative evaluations by users but the website is not indicated with even a “Caution”! Draw your own decisions! As the owner of “Smart PC Solutions”, I wrote a letter to McAfee’s legal section requesting a removal of the negative rating, but was astonished by a response from an official representative of McAfee stating they place us in exactly the same basket with spyware makers because some public organization has rated our FREE anti-spyware solution as “not powerful enough” and that it contains advertising of our other products.

Tips about that was found in one user comment. So what? We have created our own anti spyware solution for our customers to remove unwanted elements that were prevalent. We do not pretend to be the leader in this area. This was not our aim. Here is the third question to McAfee: Since when has market assessment been entrusted to public associations and haphazard researchers in such an important topic as issuing guilty or not-guilty verdicts! A word is not about that on McAfee’s site! Recently, several “independent evaluators” have emerged mooching on the anti-spyware market, and it’s a wellknown fact they frequently are advisers for anti-spyware firms so their views could possibly be biased towards one developer or another.

4th Annual Summit for Smart Growth and Sustainable Communities
"Our Towns, Our Farms, Our Future"

Our 4th Annual Summit for Smart Growth was a huge success! We focused on social entrepreneurship and how to make sustainability legal. Check out the coverage of our event by The Morning Call here

SoCap and Ben Price of CELDF.

Last year on December 9th, 2016, almost 200 community leaders and concerned citizens gathered at the Renaissance Hotel in Allentown for RenewLV's fourth annual Summit for Smart Growth and Sustainable Communities to discuss social entrepreneurship and how to make sustainability legal. We also held table discussions that covered topics such as strategies for land preservation, community revitalization and municipal cooperation.

At last year's Summit, we asked the questions:

•How do you balance what appears to be competing interests: Doing good and making money?

•How does overbearing local, state or federal laws prevent us from preserving quality of life and/or supporting smart growth?

•How do we achieve local self-determination without giving up some of the laudable goals of regulations intended to provide quality of life and prosperity for all?

A big thank-you to all of the Summit for Smart Growth sponsors who contributed to last year's discussion! You made this event possible!
